What is a microcurrent facial device?
A microcurrent facial is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that involves the use of low-level
electrical currents to stimulate the muscles and tissues of the face. The
electrical currents are delivered through two probes that are placed on the
skin’s surface, and the treatment is designed to increase circulation, tone the
muscles, and promote collagen production.
Action/Target areas
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- loose or sagging skin
- scarring and acne
- Dull tired skin
- Puffy, red areas
How do microcurrent devices work?
During a microcurrent facial, we will apply a conductive gel to the face and then use a
microcurrent device to gently glide the probes over the skin. The microcurrents
work to stimulate the facial muscles, causing them to contract and relax, which
can help to lift and firm the skin. The treatment is typically painless and
takes between 30 minutes to an hour.
Microcurrent facials are often referred to as “non-surgical facelifts” because
they can provide similar results to a surgical facelift without the downtime or
expense. They can also be used to address a variety of skin concerns, including
fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, and acne.
Result
- Increased circulation: The electrical currents used in microcurrent facial devices help to increase circulation to the skin, which can result in a brighter and more radiant complexion
- Improved skin texture: Microcurrent facials can help to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins that are essential for maintaining healthy, youthful-looking skin. This improves skin texture and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Lifting and firming effect: Microcurrent facials work by stimulating the facial muscles, causing them to contract and relax, which can lift, firm, and help to improve the contours of the face
- Reduced puffiness: Improved circulation can also help to reduce puffiness and swelling in the face
- Increased product absorption: Microcurrent facials can help to increase the absorption of skincare products, allowing them to penetrate more deeply into the skin and deliver more effective benefits
- Non-invasive: Unlike surgical facelifts, microcurrent facials are non-invasive and require no downtime. They are a safe and effective way to improve the appearance of the skin without any surgical risks or side effects.
